DIN 603

DIN 603

DIN 603 German Standard defines the characteristics like head shape, drive style, thread type, standard, size, threath length, tolerance, materials, strength class and possible coatings or strength properties. DIN 603 Bolts act as a releasable connection or fastening element for all types of components. Most of DIN 603 Carriage Bolts are made of steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminium, rust and acid resistant materials, heat resistant alloys, alloy steel, unalloyed steel or special alloys with different quality and strengths. DIN 603 Bolts are available in all possible sizes for mainly used in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive and Steel Construction.

The following are the features and specifications of

  • DIN 603 Bolts are available with large cup head and square neck.
  • Pan Head bolts with square shoulder.
  • The shank of bolt is circular for most of its length, but the portion immediately beneath the head is formed into a square section.
  • The squared section of bolt giving enough grip to prevent rotation.
  • Strength Class 4.6 and 4.8.
  • Prevent turning when nut is tightened.

DIN 603 Key Applications:

  • Widely used for light duty applications, construction and used in automotive applications where they are commonly used to fasten light objects.
  • Carriage Bolts are developed for use through iron strengthening plates on either side of a wooden beam.
  • Designed for use in square punched holes.
  • For Machine Construction and Metal Construction.
  • Used whenever a smooth finish surface is needed.
  • Widely used in furniture production, construction and in mechanical engineering.
