DIN 582

DIN 582 German Standard defines the characteristics like head shape, drive style, thread type, standard, size, threath length, tolerance, materials, strength class and possible coatings or strength properties. DIN 582 Bolts act as a releasable connection or fastening element for all types of components. Most of DIN 582 Bolts are made of steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminium, rust and acid resistant materials, heat resistant alloys, alloy steel, unalloyed steel or special alloys with different quality and strengths. DIN 582 Bolts are available in all possible sizes for mainly used in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive and Steel Construction.

The following are the features and specifications of

  • UNI: UNI 2948
  • DIN: DIN 582

DIN 582 Special Features:

  • Fully Screwed in to achieve a perfect contact between the two mating faces.
  • Both threads must be of equal length and the base material of equal strength to that of nut.
  • Forged, Annealed, Contact Face Machined, Zinc Plated or Passivated.
  • Strong and Robust Construction.
  • With a side pulling angle of > 45, lifting eye bolts must not be used.
  • RoHS Compliant and UL Listed.
  • When installing DIN 582 Bolts, it is of utmost importance to ensure that the face is in firm contact with the mating surface.
  • The maximum lifting capacity of the eye bolt is for vertical direction of lanyard axes.

DIN 582 Key Applications:

  • For high demand lifting and handling functions in safety relevant areas including machine construction, lifting units and lifting tackle.
  • For lifting and handling functions without special requirements.
  • Allowed to be used without restriction on load carrying capacity.
  • Widely used in transporting, rigging and installation work in any climatic conditions for lifting, transporting or holding various loads like containers, machines, mechanisms or assembly structures.
  • Intended as permanent attachment on equipment such as motors, control cabinets, gear boxes and more.
